What does your dominant element mean?

What is a dominant element?
Your dominant element is the one — Fire, Earth, Air or Water — that the most (and most important) planets in your chart fall under. It's the underlying 'flavour' that colours your whole personality, often more than your sun sign alone.
How is the dominant element calculated?
We weight each placement by importance — your Sun, Moon and Rising count most — then tally how much of your chart falls in each element and modality. The element with the highest score is your dominant one.
What do the four elements mean?
Fire (Aries, Leo, Sagittarius) is drive and passion; Earth (Taurus, Virgo, Capricorn) is grounded and practical; Air (Gemini, Libra, Aquarius) is intellectual and social; Water (Cancer, Scorpio, Pisces) is emotional and intuitive.
